You are here: Home Government City departments Public Works Utilities Menlo Park Municipal Water Menlo Park Municipal Water New billing contractor selected, water bills coming soon The City has partnered with Minol, an experienced water billing management company with over 60 years of experience. Starting this week, city water customers will start receiving their new water bill. Billing stopped temporarily when the previous contractor went out of business in November 2019. While you did not receive a bill for the last several months, water service continued and your usage tracked. In keeping with the City’s pledge to you, customers will not be penalized due to this billing transition. Things to know Your new water bill has a new look and new account number It includes a registration code and steps to access your new online account You can choose to sign up for automatic payments This new bill will cover the period since your last bill and may appear much larger than normal. Customers can pay down this balance over the next several months. No late penalties or disconnections will occur if paid in full by May 31, 2020. If you are concerned about paying off your previous balance by the deadline, please contact customer service to set up a payment plan. Should I be concerned about COVID-19 in my drinking water? /FAQ.aspx About Menlo Park Municipal Water Menlo Park Municipal Water provides water to approximately 16,000 residents through 4,000 service connections within two service areas: the Upper Zone (providing water to the Sharon Heights area) and the Lower Zone (providing water to areas east of El Camino Real). All of the water provided is purchased from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and is piped from the Hetch Hetchy reservoir in Yosemite National Park to Menlo Park through the San Francisco Regional Water System. On average, 85 percent of the regional water system’s water comes from the Tuolumne River watershed and 15 percent comes from local watersheds in the East Bay and Peninsula Find your water provider There are four water providers within the City of Menlo Park.
